The following reviews the geometrical size difference between the ID-Nova and Mini-Nova HVOF guns. Schematics are provided for two different Elbows for each gun. The Standard Elbow provides a higher deposition efficiency compared with the High Angle Elbow. The Standard Elbow is preferred when the space is available. See Table 1 for comparison.

ID-Nova HVOF Gun
The ID-Nova model includes Standard and High Angle Elbow options. The Standard Elbow enables spraying of inner diameters as small as 4.5" (114.3 mm) with approximately 1.08" (27.5 mm) spray distance. The High Angle Elbow configuration increases spray distance to improve particle heating while maintaining coating quality.

Mini-Nova HVOF Gun
The Mini-Nova gun similarly offers Standard and High Angle Elbow variants. Its Standard Elbow accommodates inner diameters of 3.0" (76.2 mm) with approximately 1.24" (31.4 mm) spray distance. Like the ID-Nova, the High Angle Elbow increases spray distance for enhanced particle heating. Both configurations deliver high-quality coatings.
